Sweden 1829 1/4 skilling

from the Stack's Bowers 2017 Collector's Choice sale, lot 72992

This specimen was lot 72990 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it sold for $188. The catalog description^[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 1/4 Skilling, 1829. NGC MS-63 BN. Good strike with considerable mint luster and quite attractive." Prior to the reform of 1830, 48 skilling = one riksdaler. This is a common date of a type struck 1819-30. The denomination was terminated in 1833.
