Sweden 1833/2 1/4 skilling
This specimen was lot 3234 in Sincona sale 80 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$120 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWEDEN, Karl XIV. Johann, 1818-1844. 1/4 Skilling 1833, Stockholm. Stempel in der Jahreszahl aus 1832 geändert. NGC MS65 RB. (kingdom of Sweden, Charles XIV John, 1818-44. quarter skilling of 1833, Stockholm mint, 1833/2 overdate. Gem uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1832-33 only. All the known specimens for this year are the overdate shown here. Altho it has a lower mintage than the 1832, the 1833/2 is priced lower in the SCWC. This was the last time this denomination was issued.
