This specimen was lot 31000 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $793.13. The catalog description[1] noted, "Carl XIV Johan 1/6 Riksdaler 1829-CB, MS65 NGC. Aged cabinet patina with considerable mint luster. A very scarce type especially in Mint State." This scarce type is noted for 1828-29 and is the last of its denomination. In the reform of 1830, the sixth and third riksdalers were dropped for eighth, quarter and half riksdalers.
