This specimen was lot 690 in Stack's Bowers ANA auction (Chicago, August 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Stolberg. Taler, 1546. NGC MS-63. Lustrous. Very attractive, with a frosty finish." This type of 1546-48 is from one of the many splinters of Stolberg. A double thaler (Dav-9865) exists.
