Stolberg 1544 thaler Dav-9862
This specimen was lot 283 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 525 CHF (about US$697 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND | Stolberg-Stolberg, Grafschaft. Ludwig II, Heinrich XXI, Albrecht Georg, Christoph I, 1538-1552. Taler 1544, Augsburg. Mit Titel Karls V. Attraktives sehr schönes Exemplar. (Germany, county of Stolberg-Stolberg, Louis II, Henry XXI, Albrecht George and Christopher I, 1538-52, thaler of 1544, Augsburg mint, struck in the name of Charles V. Attractive very fine specimen.)"
