Künker Auction 425, lot 2365

This specimen was lot 2365 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €1,600 (about US$2,266 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHE MÜNZEN UND MEDAILLEN · STOLBERG, GEMEINSCHAFTLICH Wolfgang, Ludwig II., Heinrich XXI., Albrecht Georg und Christof I., 1538-1552. Taler 1546, Stolberg. 28,77 g Dav-9848; Friederich 109 a. RR Herrliche Patina, Bearbeitungsspuren am Rand, fast vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 412, Osnabrück 2024, Nr. 1732. (Germany, county of Stolberg, joint rule, Wolfgang, Louis II, Henry XXI, Albert George and Christopher I, 1538-52, thaler of 1546, Stolberg mint. Very rare, superb patina, tooling on edge, about extremely fine.)"
