This Spanish two maravedis was struck at the Jubia mint in 1824-27. It was accompanied by copper one, four and eight maravedis. The Jubia mint was opened in 1812 during the French invasion and struck only copper coins. The type is not rare but scarce compared to the laureate head used on the Segovia issues (KM 487.1).
