Sedwick sale 11, lot 1362

The specimen shown was lot 1362 in Sedwick sale 11 (Winter Park, FL, April 2011), where it sold for $109.25. The catalog description[1] noted,

"Pamplona, Spain (Navarre), copper 1 maravedí, Ferdinand VII (III of Navarre), 1826PP. Chocolate-brown AU- with traces of original red color and luster, off-center strike, no problems."

The type is filed in the SCWC under Navarre, not Spain. Copper coinage was struck there 1818-33 in denominations of half, one, three and six maravedis.

Recorded mintage: unknown.
