Sincona 4, lot 5858

This specimen was lot 5858 in Sincona sale 4 (Zürich, October 2011), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"SPANIEN Fernando VII. 1808-1833 10 Reales 1821, Sevilla. Min. just. Gutes vorzüglich. (Spain, Ferdinand VII, 1808-33, ten reales of 1821, Seville mint. Light adjustment marks, good extremely fine.)"

This scarce type was struck 1821 only at Madrid, Seville (shown here), Barcelona and Santander. No ten reales would be struck until 1840 (KM 585).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 13.54 g, 0.903 fine silver, .393 troy oz AGW, this specimen 13,36 g.
