This specimen was lot 5859 in Sincona sale 4 (Zürich, October 2011), where it sold for 1,500 CHF (about US$1,995 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SPANIEN Fernando VII. 1808-1833 160 Reales 1822, Madrid. Mmz. SR. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Spain, Ferdinand VII, 1808-33, 160 reales of 1822, Madrid mint. Very fine to extremely fine.)"
This type, struck 1822, is the last appearance of the four escudos size coin in Spain. It was accompanied by a larger gold 320 reales.
