Áureo y Calicó sale 345, lot 462

This specimen was lot 462 in Áureo y Calicó sale 345 (Barcelona, March 2020), where it sold for €280 (about US$370 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"1681. Carlos II. Segovia. BR. 1 real. Rara. MBC-. (kingdom of Spain, Charles II, one real of 1681, Segovia mint. Rare, about very fine.)"

The Segovia mint milled one reales for Charles II 1675, 1681 and 1683-87. We don't know why this example is underweight.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.931 fine silver, this specimen 2,23 g.
