This type was struck 1967-85 and is common. A few dates (1975-84) were struck in silver and sold to collectors. In 1985, the weight was reduced to 10.03 g. As of August 2019, US$1 = SGD $1.39.

Recorded mintage: 1,340,000 plus 30,000 in silver.

Specification: 16.85 g, copper-nickel, 33.3 mm diameter.
