Schwarzburg-Sondershausen 1666 1/4 thaler
This specimen was lot 1343 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €625 (about US$842 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWARZBURG, SCHWARZBURG-SONDERSHAUSEN, GRAFSCHAFT, Anton Günther I. 1642-1666. 1/4 Reichstaler 1666, Sondershausen, auf seinen Tod am 19. August. Von großer Seltenheit. Attraktives Exemplar mit hübscher Patina, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, county of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen, Anthony Gunther I, 1642-66, quarter thaler of 1666, Sondershausen mint, on his death. Very rare, atractive example with handsome patina, very fine to extremely fine.)"
The SCWC mentions no minors for Schwarzburg-Sondershausen but lists a thaler (KM 82 = Dav-7688) issued for the same occasion.
