This specimen was lot 8274 in Ponterio sale 160 (Baltimore, June 2011), where it sold for $1,380. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Schwarzburg. Taler, 1606. Joint Rule VII. Toned. NGC VF-35." This type is recorded in the SCWC as joint coinage for all the divisions of Schwarzburg, including -Sondershausen, -Rudolstadt and -Arnstadt. All are scarce to rare.
