This specimen was lot 10358 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $352. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Schaumburg-Lippe. Taler, 1765. NGC AU-50. Wilhelm I Friedrich Ernst (1748-77)." The tiny county of Schaumburg-Lippe produced few coins in the eighteenth century but managed to issue one-third thalers, two-thirds thalers, thalers and ten thalers (Fr-3068) in the 1760's.
Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.
