Künker sale 335, lot 4356

This specimen was lot 4356 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabruck, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €340 (about US$445 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHAUMBURG-LIPPE, SCHAUMBURG-LIPPE, GRAFSCHAFT. Wilhelm Friedrich Ernst, 1748-1777. Mariengroschen 1750, Bückeburg. Feine Patina, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Germany, county of Schaumburg-Lippe, William Frederick Ernest, 1748-77, mariengroschen of 1750. Fine patina, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

This tiny coin was also issued as a 1/24 thaler (KM 13) in 1750. Coinage from this tiny state is sparse.
