This specimen was lot 47179 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Schaumburg-Lippe. 2/3 Taler, 1761. Buckeburg Mint. Wilhelm I. PCGS AU-50." The tiny county of Schaumburg-Lippe produced few coins in the eighteenth century but managed to issue one-third thalers, two-thirds thalers (shown here), thalers and ten thalers in the 1760's.
