Jean Elsen sale 151, lot 1404

This specimen was lot 1404 in Jean Elsen sale 151 (Brussels, June 2022), where it sold for €360 (about US$450 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ALLEMAGNE, SAXE, Royaume, Friedrich August III (1763-1806), AR Konventionstaler, 1803IEC. Très Beau à Superbe/Superbe. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Frederick Augustus III, 1763-1806, silver thaler of 1803. Very Fine - Extremely Fine/Extremely Fine).)"

This type is listed for 1793-1806 and is accompanied by a mining thaler (Dav-851). This thaler is also catalogued as Dav-2701 for the pre-1801 issues.
