This specimen was lot 987 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$124 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Sachsen, Kurfürstentum, Albertiner Friedrich August III. (I.), 1763-1826. Konventionstaler 1804, Dresden. Mmz. SGH. Kl. Schrötlingsf. Fast vorzüglich-vorzüglich. (Electorate of Saxony, Frederick August III, 1763-1826, convention thaler of 1804, Dresden mint. Slightly porous, extremely fine.)"
This type was issued 1793-1806. It is common. It was issued concurrently with a mining thaler (Dav-851).
