This specimen was lot 235 in Sincona sale 46 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 525 CHF (about US$630 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Sachsen, ab 1806 Königreich, Friedrich August III. (I.), 1763-1827. Dukat 1803, Dresden. Sehr schön. Fassungsspuren. (kingdom of Saxony, Frederick Augustus I, 1763-1827, ducat of 1803, Dresden mint. Very fine, Traces of mounting.)"
This type, the last issued while Friedrich August was still elector, is listed for 1791-1804 and is rare.
