This specimen was lot 3555 in Stephen Album sale 39 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $96. The catalog description[1] noted, "SAXONY: Friedrich August III, 1763-1806, AR 1/3 thaler, 1780, initials IEC, traces of adjustment marks on rim, quite lustrous, especially on the reverse, EF-AU." This type was struck 1780-90 and is fairly commmon.

Specification: 7.02 g, 0.833 fine silver.
