This specimen was lot 3745 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €9,500 (about US$12,804 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN, KURFÜRSTENTUM, Xaver, 1763-1768. Dukat 1768, Dresden. GOLD. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Sehr attraktives Exemplar mit herrlichem Prägeglanz, vorzüglich +. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Xavier, 1763-68, ducat of 1768, Dresden mint. Scarce in this quality, very attractive example with handsome luster, extremely fine or better.)"
This rare type was struck 1766-68 for the regent Xaver.
