The first specimen was lot 6357 in CNG Triton XXVIII (New York, January 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY, Sachsen (Duchy & Electorate). Ernst, with Albrecht. 1464-1486. AR Half Schwertgroschen. Zwickau or Schneeberg mint. Dated 1482. Coat-of-arms within trilobe / Coat-of-arms within trilobe. Toned. In NGC encapsulation 4824370-001, graded AU 55. From the Robert Levinson Collection. Ex Horn Collection." The second specimen was lot 6528 in CNG Triton XXIX (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $183.75. The catalog description[2] noted, "GERMANY, Sachsen (Duchy & Electorate). Ernst, with Albrecht. 1464-1486. AR Halb Schwertgroschen. Zwickau or Schneeberg mint; mm: trefoil. Dated 1482, though struck 1482-1485. Coat-of-arms with polylobe / Coat-of-arms with polylobe. Krug 1511; Levinson I-185. Toned with hints of luster, slight bend. Good VF. Well struck. From the Robert Levinson Collection." This type and numerous other halbe schwertgroschen of the period 1475-82 are listed in the SCWC under Saxe-Wittenberg, an old splinter of the Saxon duchies which was abolished in 1500.   • KM MB151: Zwickau and Schneeberg mints, dated (14)82.
  • KM MB152: Freiberg mint, dated (14)82.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver, the first specimen 25 mm diameter, 2.05 g, 2 h axis, the second 26 mm, 1.75 g, 10 h axis.
