Saxe-Coburg-Gotha 1848-F 1/6 thaler
This specimen was lot 4354 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €120 (about US$157 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN, SACHSEN-COBURG UND GOTHA, HERZOGTUM. Ernst II. 1844-1893. 1/6 Taler 1848. Prachtexemplar. Stempelglanz. (Germany, duchy of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, Ernest II, 1844-93, one-sixth thaler of 1848. Cabinet piece, uncirculated.)"
Duke Ernst was the older brother of prince Albert, husband to queen Victoria. This tiny state was merged with the other Saxon duchies into the state of Thuringia in 1920. This is another obscure one year type tho this one doesn't appear to be rare.
