Aureo sale 269, lot 570

This specimen was lot 570 in Aureo sale 269 (Barcelona, July 2015), where it sold for €340 (about US$439 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"s/d. Austria. Salzburgo. Johan Jakob Khuen von Belasi (1560-1586). 1 taler. AG. Preciosa pátina. Rara. MBC+ (Germany, archbishopric of Salzburg, John Jacob of Belasi (1560-86), undated thaler. Nice toning, rare, choice very fine.)"

Davenport lists this undated thaler for 1561-67. Later thalers of Salzburg are very common.
