This specimen was lot 32179 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $1,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "Russia: USSR Proof 50 Kopecks 1926-ПЛ PR63 Cameo NGC, Obv. National arms dividing CC-CP, with all in circle. Rev. Worker at anvil, with date below. Gold, blue, and gray toning with a sharp strike. A scratch, that defines the grade, is noted in the left obverse field." The Communists struck this type 1925-27. It is the last silver fifty kopeks.
