This specimen was lot 2641 in Stephen Album sale 47 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIAN EMPIRE: Nicholas II, 1894-1917, AE 1/2 kopek, 1909, almost full red, NGC graded MS64 RB." This type was struck at St. Petersburg 1894-1900 and 1908-14 in large numbers.
Recorded mintage: 49,500,000 plus proofs.
