Stephen Album internet sale 28, lot 1132

This specimen was lot 1132 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIAN EMPIRE: Alexander III, 1881-1894, AE 1/2 kopeck, 1890, St. Petersburg mint, a wonderful example! PCGS graded MS64 RB, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." This type was struck 1881-94 in moderate numbers. The SCWC gives the weight as 4 g but 1.6 g is correct.

Recorded mintage: 2,040,000.

Specification: 1.6 g, bronze, 16 mm diameter, plain edge.
