This specimen was lot 40752 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $1,116. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Ruble, 1841-CNB HT. PCGS MS-62 Secure Holder. Rich old toning." This type was struck 1832-58 in large quantities but is today very rare in nice condition. This date is known with 1841/0 and 1841/3 overdates.

Recorded mintage: 6,155,000.

Specification: 20.73 g, 0.868 fine silver.
