Sincona sale 84, lot 241

This specimen was lot 241 in Sincona sale 84 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 3,800 CHF (about US$5,117 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUSSIA Russian Empire and Federation, 10 Kopecks 1815, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB MF. Very rare in this condition. PCGS MS65. Cabinet piece."

This type was struck 1810-26 and is fairly common.

Recorded mintage: 2,000,000.

Specification: 2.07 g, 0.868 fine silver.
