Sincona sale 84, lot 244

This specimen was lot 244 in Sincona sale 84 (Zürich, October 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUSSIA Russian Empire and Federation, 10 Kopecks 1816/15, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB MF. 6 roubles according to Petrov. 4 roubles according to Ilyin. NGC VF25. Ink number on reverse. From the Soedermann Collection."

This type was struck 1810-26 and is fairly common. This 1816/5 overdate is mentioned in the SCWC.

Recorded mintage: 250,000 including assayer ПС.

Specification: 2.07 g, 0.868 fine silver, this specimen 2.08 g.
