Sincona sale 12, lot 415

This specimen was lot 415 in Sincona sale 12 (Zürich, October 2013), where it sold for 1,200 CHF (about US$1,552 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "10 Kopecks 1804, St. Petersburg Mint, Rare. Minor scratch and rim nick. About extremely fine." This type is listed for 1802-05 and mentioned as slightly scarcer than preceding or succeeding types. The SCWC notes an 1804/2 overdate for the year.

Recorded mintage: 380,000.

Specification: 2.07 g, 0.868 fine silver, this specimen 2.26 g.
