This specimen was lot 414 in Sincona sale 78 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 140 CHF (about US$168 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Alexander I. 1801-1825, 5 Kopecks 1804, Suzun Mint, KM. Good very fine. Edge nicks." This type was struck 1802-10 in substantial quantities at Suzun (shown here) and Ekaterinburg but choice specimens are scarce. An 1804/3 overdate is recorded.
