This specimen was lot 27 in Sincona sale 78 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 275 CHF (about US$330 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Peter I. 1682-1725, Grivennik 1705, Red Mint. Very fine. Weakly struck." This type was struck 1704-05 and 1709. The date is stamped in Cyrillic letters, a practice abandoned about 1718. Ten kopeks made a grivennik or grivna, and ten grivenniks made a ruble.
