Künker sale 293, lot 1136

This specimen was lot 1136 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €320 (about US$431 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"REGENSBURG, STADT, 1/4 Konv.-Taler 1754, mit Titel von Franz I. Slg. Bach (Auktion Künker 238) 4847. Feine Tönung, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Germany, city of Regensburg, quarter convention thaler of 1754, struck in the name of Francis I. Fine toning, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

This "city view" quarter thaler accompanied a much better known thaler (Dav-2618B).

Recorded mintage: 632.

Specification: 7.01 g, 0.833 fine silver.
