Prussia 1875-A 20 mark
This specimen was lot 3257 in Sincona sale 43 (Zürich, October 2017), where it sold for 325 CHF (about US$388 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Preussen, Königreich, Wilhelm I. 1861-1888 20 Mark 1875 A. Berlin. Gutes vorzüglich. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, William I, 1861-88, twenty mark of 1875, Berlin mint. Good extremely fine.)"
Several German states issued gold five mark in 1877 but the denomination was abandoned in favor of a silver five mark, gold being restricted to ten and twenty mark pieces. This type was struck 1874-88 and is common.
