This specimen was lot 138 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 3,200 CHF (about US$4,247 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND | Brandenburg / Prussia. Friedrich Wilhelm IV. 1840-1861. Friedrichs d'or 1846 A, Berlin. NGC MS62+. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick William IV, 1840-61, frederick d'or of 1846, Berlin mint. Uncirculated, nearly Choice.)"
This type was struck 1841-52 only at Berlin. No friedrichs d'or were struck at the branch mints after 1805.
