Künker sale 293, lot 387

This specimen was lot 387 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €180 (about US$243 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH Friedrich Wilhelm III. 1797-1840. 3 Kreuzer 1806, A, für Ost- und Westpreußen. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick William III, 1797-1840, three kreuzer of 1806, for East and West Prussia. Extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

This billon type was struck for East Prussia 1800-07. The denomination was issued 1765-1808 for the part of Prussia formerly in Poland.
