Künker sale 353, lot 3260

This specimen was lot 3260 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €2,000 (about US$2,784 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich Wilhelm I. der Soldatenkönig, 1713-1740. 1/4 Dukat 1716, HFH, Magdeburg. Das Brustbild teilt die Vorderseitenumschrift und am Ende mit BORVS ·. Münzmeister Heinrich Friedrich Halter. GOLD. RR Prachtexemplar. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. Exemplar der Auktion UBS 47, Zürich 1999, Nr. 873. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick William I, the Soldier King, 1713-40, quarter ducat of 1716, Magdeburg mint.)"

Another quarter ducat (KM 131) with a bare bust exists. Both were struck in 1714 and 1716.
