This type (half a vintém) was struck 1829, 1831 and 1833 by the usurper Michael I. Common in low grade, it is scarce in nice condition. This is the most common date. Decimal coinage was introduced in 1837.

Specification: 12.7 g, copper, 34.4 mm diameter.
