This specimen is lot 1356 in UBS sale 84 (Basel, January 2010). The catalog description[1] noted,
"PORTUGAL (Münzstätte Lissabon) José I. 1750-1777. Meia Peça 1751. Belorbeertes Brustbild nach rechts, darunter die Jahreszahl. Rv. Wappen auf gekrönter Wappenkartusche. 7,04 g. Justiersp. Sehr schön-vorzüglich." (Portugal, Lisbon mint, Joseph I, 1750-77, gold "half joe" of 1751. Obv: draped bust to right, date below. Rev: Baroque arms. Adjustment marks, very fine to extremely fine).
This type was struck 1751-75 and is rare compared to the 6400 réis.
