This specimen was lot 72871 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU. Sol, 1976. NGC MS-67. 150th anniversary of the battle of Aya[c]ucho commemorative. Sharply struck with glistening mint luster." This commemorative, issued on the 152nd anniversary of the battle, was accompanied by a gold half sol (Fr-96). It was struck to the standard of the gold fifty soles of 1950-70.

Specifications: 23.4 g, 0.900 fine gold, 0.672 troy oz.
