This type, issued in 1976 from Lima, commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Ayacucho, which finally drove the Spanish out of Peru. An NCLT, it is never found circulated but occasionally appears mishandled.

Recorded mintage: 350,000.

Specification: 28.10 g, 0.900 fine silver, 37 mm diameter.
