This specimen was lot 75973 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $129. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU. Mint Error -- Struck 10% Off-Center -- Sol, 1976. Lima Mint. PCGS MS-65." This type was struck 1975-76 during one of Peru's inflationary periods. It was worthless then and is worthless now except for the mint error.

Recorded mintage: 114,660,000 plus 10,000 of KM 269 (Ayacucho commemorative).

Specification: 3.24 g, brass, 21 mm diameter.
