This specimen was lot 25276 in Heritage sale 61487 (Dallas, TX, May 2025), where it sold for $600. The catalog description[1] noted, "Peru. Republic 8 Reales 1833 CUZCO-B AU55 NGC, Cuzco mint. Approaching Mint State with prominent detail throughout, and one of just four straight-graded by NGC. Accompanied by the original collector envelope. From the Monedero Collection of Peru and Latin American Coins." This type was struck at Cuzco 1830-34 and is rather common; the complete span of Peru standing liberty eight reales runs 1825-55. Assayer B is recorded for the Cuzco mint 1832-33.
Recorded mintage: unknown but a better date.
