This specimen was lot 43154 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU. 8 Reales, 1834-LIMA MM. Lima Mint. PCGS AU-53." This type was struck at Lima 1825-28 and at Cuzco 1826-29 and is rather common; the complete span of Peru standing liberty eight reales runs 1825-55. Assayer MM is listed for 1831-35.
