This specimen was lot 3763 in Goldberg sale 75 (Los Angeles, September 2013), where it sold for $253. The catalog description[1] noted, "Peru. Escudo, 1828/7-JM. Standing liberty. Very Fine." This is from a type struck at Lima 1826-33. Cuzco also minted this type in 1826 and 1830.

Specification: 3.37 g, 0.875 fine gold, .095 troy oz AGW.
