This specimen was lot 1361 in Sedwick Auction 37 (Winter Park, FL, May 2025), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU, Lima, pillar 2 reales, Charles III, 1765 JM, no ligature in mintmark, with center dot inside crown above globes, ex-O'Brien. Fine with richly contrasting toning, scarce date (rated S in Yonaka). Pedigreed to the John O'Brien Collection, with his tag." This type was struck for Charles III 1760-72. It is not rare but many of the dates are very scarce compared to their Mexican equivalents.
