Soler y Llach, January 2010, lot 321

This coin was lot 321 in a Soler y Llach sale (Barcelona, January 2010). The type was struck in Lima, Peru, 1701-44; the date 1738 is listed for one, four and eight escudos cobs. Gold coins from colonial Peru are much scarcer than those from Colombian mints. Assayer N is recorded for 1728-39.
