This specimen was lot 1869 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 39 (Winter Park, FL, May 2026), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU, Lima, cob 1 real, 1704 H, ex-Ugaz. VF with nice bold pillars detail, decent cross, two visible dates, dull gray surfaces with very little corrosion. Pedigreed to the Jorge Ugaz Collection." The regime in Madrid finally permitted the viceroy in Lima to reopen the mint in 1684. This type was struck 1701-28 for the Bourbon king Philip V. Assayer Hurtado ("H") stamped his coins 1695-1710.
